Frequently Asked Questions

What materials do you use?

I solely use Sculpey Souffle or Premo polymer clay as my art medium of choice.

All jewellery findings, posts and metal elements are sourced from other reputable Australian small businesses. I typically use 18K gold (plated or vermeil), rose gold and surgical stainless steel. Please check the product listing’s description to get further information for a particular design as occasionally I test and try new materials.

Our ‘glossy’ polymer clay pieces are coated in a high gloss acrylic varnish. ‘Matte’ designs are left untouched to give the desired effect.

What’s the best way to care for your products?

Whilst polymer clay is a fairly durable art medium, it’s best to store your pieces flat in a cool, room away from sunlight. Avoid bending, pulling or using excessive force to prevent any potential damages. Keep away from perfumes, hair, makeup or tanning products where possible. All our pieces are not recommended to be worn in the shower or whilst swimming.

Here’s some expert tips for keeping the below materials as good as new:

  • Polymer Clay - Makeup/baby wipe are fairly effective in removing any mild stains. Nail polish with acetone also works wonders on baked clay.

  • Gold/Rose Gold - Prevention is really the best way to keep gold elements pristine. Following the above tips should keep your gold pieces in great shape. They may fade slightly over time if not stored correctly or by exposing them to long periods in the sun.

  • Sterling Silver - Silver polishing cloths work well.

  • Brass - I don't tend to use Brass in my pieces as it’s known to tarnish over time. To bring Brass jewellery back to life, you can polish with them with vinegar, Brasso or tomato sauce/ketchup - yes really! The acidity breaks things down. Just wipe off with warm water and dry with a paper towel.

Do you accept custom orders?

Absolutely! I’d love to arrange a time to chat to you about what you have in mind.

Please note that custom orders are placed on hold during our peak periods, especially around Public Holidays.

In the instance where I do not have capacity to take on your order, I’d be happy to refer you to other clay artists/jewellery designers that match the aesthetic you’re after.

Are your earrings heavy?

Polymer clay earrings are incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Metal earring designs however add a little more weight to the piece.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we are only shipping Australia-Wide however we hope to expand this to more countries in the future.

If you are from a different part of the world and would love to purchase something from us, please still get in touch - we may be able to work something out for you!
